One of the first steps to being admitted to almost any colleges is to take a college entrance exam. You can register for the ACT or the SAT to begin the college journey. It is suggested that the test be taken during your junior year in high school.

 

If you plan to apply to a Texas college or university, you may apply to most of them online with a single application. More than 600, mostly out of state, colleges use the online Common Application.

 

If you are a prospective college athlete, you will want to check out the academic requirements for each athletic associations early in your high school career. See the qualifications at: National Junior College Ahtletic Association (NJCAA)National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
